My name is Autumn, and what inspired this blog was the faith journey I embarked upon, beginning halfway through pregnancy with my third son, River, and spilling into the first couple years of his life. It was both a brutal and beautiful period of time. There is a real richness that can be cultivated alongside real darkness that is only possible through relationship with Jesus, in my experience.

I documented the main events throughout this period of time, as well as the impact they were having on my faith and understanding of God’s mysterious ways. I have included some of these highlights in The Backstory, which is a collection of thoughts and prayers that I wrote down during that period.

I subsequently created this blog to begin to document other aspects of life in hopes of continuing to find purpose and inspiration in the big and little moments this side of heaven.
